Mary always dreamed of being a zookeeper – and thanks to some caring biologists and nursing home workers, her ‘bucket list’ wish was granted.
While attending field trips to the Columbian Park Zoo in Lafayette, Indiana, Mary showed an intense interest in the exotic critters, so the staff at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus where she lives decided to team up with the zoo to recruit the animal-loving senior as an official zookeeper for a day of duties.
