With growing worries about dwindling supplies of fish, negative effects on the ocean and coastal environments, and concerns about pesticides, sustainable seafood practices are gaining momentum in the United States. But there are challenges to overcome before the certification of large-scale fisheries becomes common practice for the Marine Stewardship Council.
