In a fitting farewell to one of the closing Toys “R” Us stores, an anonymous donor bought all of the remaining toys so they could be donated to local children.
A staff member at the Triangle Town Center location in Raleigh, North Carolina told CBS that a mystery philanthropist had bought $1 million worth of toys.

Instead of closing up shop on the same day as other Toys “R” Us locations, the employees spent their final day at the store boxing up all of the goodies and preparing them for delivery.
While the news outlet was not able to give further details on the compassionate gesture, it’s an inspiring silver-lining to the toy company’s closure.
