Maple Grove resident Bob Karlstrand is dying but he is also finding inspiration in acts of generosity, giving away everything during his final months.
He is giving his home to a fellow veteran through Habitat for Humanity. He is giving his retirement fund to nursing students through a million dollar scholarship program.

Though he is giving everything away, he is grateful that the pulmonary fibrosis is allowing him to live his final months or years with little pain, compared to people suffering with other diseases.

I don’t now what the criteria for a celebrity is but I am always surprise that Bill & Melinda Gates do not get more coverage. These guys are changing the world by the projects they support. Gates has put his money where his mouth is. He and his wife Melinda have so far given away $28 billion via their charitable foundation, more than $8 billion of it to improve global health. I am impressed.
