Listen To This Concrete Organ Played By The Ocean (WATCH)

 

You may think there are sirens making this eerily beautiful music coming from steps leading to the Adriatic Sea–but it’s an organ for the sea.

The Sea Organ in Zadar, Croatia expands over 230-feet long with 35 different pipes built into the concrete that are tuned to different musical chords.

When the waves and wind lap at the holes in the stone, they play a random haunting melody that lulls the locals.

Built by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić, the organ has won several awards for it’s beloved design and urban grace.
