A homeless man in State College, Pennsylvania who wishes to remain anonymous returned a wallet with $350 cash to its rightful owner.
After the two met, he discovered that the wallet’s owner was a single mother battling brain cancer.
When asked if he considered keeping the money, even for a second, he said, “Somebody might not have known, but I would have.”
In a “Bad Neighborhood” Surprising Honesty Wins the Day
The woman said “her whole life” was inside that wallet.
The man said he was on his way to a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous when he found the wallet on a bench in the park.
