With bitter cold temperatures keeping people indoors, a pizza shop owner in Ligonier, Pennsylvania offered to make deliveries of prescriptions and other essentials to the elderly or others with health challenges.
Tom Wynkoop, the owner of Fox’s Pizza Den, decided that since there were so many elderly in the community and his drivers were out delivering anyway, that he would do everything he could to pick up prescriptions or food if people were in need.
He even gave out his cell phone number, according to WPIX-TV, who reported that he tweeted:
“This goes out to our valued customers. If you have any medical history that involves respiratory issues, PLEASE, PLEASE do not attempt to leave the house. Due to the extreme weather conditions, please call my cell phone and I will do everything in my power to have things brought to you (medications, food, etc.). No food ordering required.”
