the inclusion of women at the highest leves is something all countries could emulate. the emancipation of women in India needs to go further and ensure that all women are treated with respect from pre-birth to death. a reassessment of values education which corrects the male biases of Hinduism and Islam needed before women are not ill-treated as a matter of course by memebers of religious groups who pay lip service to the ideals but use their power to abuse women with impunity while the societies around them look the other way.
