On July 17th, Delaware became the 19th state to sign benefit corporation legislation–a move that will make a big difference for entrepreneurs who want to make money and still do good in the world.
The state’s corporation-friendly laws means it’s home to most of the country’s companies. Now those companies have the opportunity to become Certified B Corporations.
That means they can voluntarily meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency, while getting all the tax benefits of incorporating in Delaware.
