Giant birds began appearing out of the blue on the day after a winter storm dumped more than two feet of snow in Bedford, Virginia.
Now, people are flocking to see the colorful snow sculptures.
Kathy Hatcher posted pictures of the icy ornithological statues to her Facebook page looking for the artist behind the whole gaggle of birds including…
A Cardinal…
…this Yellow Finch…
…two Blue Jays…
…and, appropriately, a Snow Dove.
It didn’t take long for other people in town to figure out the sculptor is “Bartertown” Bobby Fuller, a local artist who usually works in other media, but took advantage of the snow to create some fleeting, feathered public art for his neighbors.
