Hopeful news in the battle against the H1N1 swine flu emerged Thursday as European and Chinese researchers said they have developed swine flu vaccines that work with one dose, rather than two, potentially increasing the supply available for distribution.
Scientists previously thought two doses would be necessary, which could have contributed to a vaccine shortage.
The completion of trials in China has shown their vaccine to be very safe, said the regulatory agency that approved the vaccine.
Umm, sorry but this is not good news. From everything I can gather the mass implementation of the swine flu vaccine cannot be considered a safe course of action. The amount of money alone being made by the key companies supplying the vaccine (Novartis, the makers of Prozac) is enough to suspect possible foul play and back door politics.
‘Fast Track’ policies developed here in the US post 9/11 give companies like Novartis rights to pass by safeguards built into the testing procedure as well as sidestep liability should anyone have an adverse reaction to the vaccine.

The number of cases worldwide of this flu that have ended in death do not even come close to warranting such a response from the global health community… and a detailed study on the nature of the disease itself points towards it possibly being man made as the likely hood of it.
According to reports in the mainstream media (which has no reason to lie about this particular detail), this strain of influenza contains viral code fragments from:
? Human influenza
? Bird Flu from North America
? Swine flu from Europe
? Swine flu from Asia
This is rather astonishing to realize, because for this to have been a natural combination of viral fragments, it means an infected bird from North America would have had to infect pigs in Europe, then be re-infected by those some pigs with an unlikely cross-species mutation that allowed the bird to carry it again, then that bird would have had to fly to Asia and infected pigs there, and those Asian pigs then mutated the virus once again (while preserving the European swine and bird flu elements) to become human transmittable, and then a human would have had to catch that virus from the Asian pigs ? in Mexico! ? and spread it to others. (This isn’t the only explanation of how it could have happened, but it is one scenario that gives you an idea of the complexity of such a thing happening).
In the end the best defense to flu or any other kind of illness is to STRENGTHEN your IMMUNE system. It goes without saying that most westerners these days suffer from poor immunity due to lifestyle and diet choices. Most people don’t even know that a healthy intestinal tract full of friendly bacteria greatly increases your bodies immune system – as does seasonal cleansing. You would think that with all the resources at the disposal of the World Health Organization, they’d be educating people on cleansing and detoxification techniques – which are cheap and DON’T make large mult-national drug companies much money.
Alas, as long as our governments (China included) are in the pocket of huge companies such as Novartis, we should do well to question anything as sweeping as mandatory vaccinations for our children, pregnant women, the elderly and those suffering from chronic illness. The last thing these people need is a possibly harmful vaccine put in their already taxed bodies.
Sorry for the long post – but the ignorance surrounding this whole issue really upsets me. In general I LOVE this website – read the Good News every day… but on this issue, I obviously wholeheartedly disagree.

i totally agree with this. that’s why we’ve also posted stories about how easy it is to contain or avoid swine flu problems, like this “swine flu primer” and this, on hand sanitizers having actually adverse effects on humans

I also agree with you that the cases of death so far have been very few, but in the near future, who knows? I would hope my weak grandmother and pregnant friend take the shot if advised by a doctor…
As for the conspiracy theories? … Not so much.

Glad you’ve found some postings about other less risky ways to avoid swine flu.
It’s of course up to everyone to choose what’s best for them given the situation, and I appreciate the concerted efforts by some governments to be prepared.
There’s just so much evidence these days that vaccinations often do more harm than good – and while it’s a hot topic I like to be the voice offering other solutions rather than joining in the choir of camp vaccination.
