A babysitter’s parrot is being credited with helping save the life of a 2-year-old girl who was choking at a Denver area home while the sitter was in the bathroom. The parrot started screaming and flapping his wings and saying ‘mama baby’ “over and over and over again.” (w/ video at CBS4Denver.com)
Most people don’t realize it but parrots are actually the smartest critters on Earth next to us. This story proves that they cannot only mimic our vocalizations but our language as well, which is simply amazing if you ask me!
Simply amazing. Animals are so intelligent. For the parrot to put together an accurate phrase to alert the sitter is phenomenal.
