AP reports, researchers in Cambodia have discovered the only known colony of extemely rare slender-billed vultures. “Amazingly, there were also a host of other globally threatened species of birds and primates,” said Song Chansocheat, manager of the Cambodia Vulture Conservation Project. This discovery may lead vulture conservationists to build faith and seek to countries where sky burials are natural practices. Other vultures are known to exist in these places but aren’t studied in the same way similar species are elsewherre. Maybe we’re not meant to do so?
