Wayne Kramer and his musician friends have been in and out of jails and prisons across the United States. They are helping to change lives through his music charity, Jail Guitar Doors.
When they’re done, they will leave behind musical instruments that will be used in song writing workshops for the detainees.
Kramer tells his captive audience that the donated guitars are tangible proof that people on the outside care about them and believe in them.
“The guitars are not gifts,” Kramer tells his audience. “They are a challenge to you.”
