Yeti Airlines is the only means of transportation to Asia’s remote mountain regions. The corporation prides itself for its rescue missions to Nepal — carrying sick people in need of emergency medical care and food to ease hunger.
But the goal of their humanitarian mission Saturday was bringing happiness and awe to young minds.
Eighteen orphans from Bal Mandir were given a dream flight to Mt. Everest, an event organized by Yeti to mark National Children’s Day and also its 15th anniversary.
One child onboard the flight said he aspired to become a pilot one day. Another said it was a dream come true for her. “I had never thought I will get an opportunity to fly in a plane in my life.”
