Twenty-one US cities, including New York and Denver, have announced they will measure their greenhouse gases emissions, in a joint effort to seek ways to halt and reverse global warming. A non-profit organization will help the cities report carbon emission data for their jurisdiction’s operations – fire department, ambulance and police services, municipal buildings, and waste transport, for example.
