It started with an ordinary life-saving organ donation, but after the recipient’s husband decided to ‘pay it forward’ with his own kidney donation, a chain of transplants delivered 14 patients new life.
“A precious daughter died and gave my wife life,” said Ralph, 48, “and I’m going to be so selfish to say, ‘I’m going to hold on to this kidney, just in case’?”
