For 11 years Sonja MacDonald and her family lived with the constant threat of oncoming black-outs. After seeing different doctors, giving varying diagnoses for the episodes, they still had no idea what the problem was or how to stop it.
In 2009, a new neurologist took a fresh look at her case and in short order figured out what was wrong. The answer, this doctor subsequently learned, had been buried in MacDonald’s records for years.
Now the grateful woman is living life normally once again, relieved that the seizures are over.
